They are efficient, flexible and sustainable – and indispensable to the Rail Cargo Group fleet: we are talking about our swap bodies (WAB). Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Our teams across Europe have been working on this for months, and the first results are already visible on the routes between the North Sea and the Mediterranean.

What changes

Since the beginning of the eighties Road & Rail has been developing intermodal transport solutions which, in addition to environmentally-oriented added value, also offer significant economic advantages. We shift conventional road transports to rail and sea and thus contribute to a significant reduction in pollutant emissions.

With more than 300 daily departures on more than 250 Short Sea and Rail routes in Combined Transport, we link all the important European business centres. Our services combine the flexibility of the truck with the efficiency of the train.

  • Fixed departure times and guaranteed slots
  • Live tracking of every unit in the customer app
  • One contact person from booking to delivery
  • Transparent CO₂ report for every shipment

For shippers

A third of all our transports are already carried out using Combined Transport. By switching to alternative modes of transport we also relieve the European road network and contribute to less noise pollution and greater road safety.

  1. Send us your volumes and lanes
  2. We plan the route and the mode of transport
  3. Pick-up by truck at your ramp

Moving freight to the rail is not a trend for us – it has been our business model for forty years.

Every unit is tracked from pick-up to delivery, and our dispatchers react to delays before they reach the customer. That is what door-to-door means to us: one contact person, one plan, one invoice.
